The route
I’d just made it back from Yemen and wanted to do a shakedown trip with my snowmobile to get it ready for some late winter Bulgers. I’d last snowmobiled in October, so it had been a while. I drove up to Crystal Springs sno park Thursday morning and sledded up to five easily-accessible peaks. I first rod to the summit of Radioactive Peak, then rode to near Peak 4873 and skied the short remaining distance. I then sledded to near Peak 4436 and skied to the summit, then tagged Dandy Mountain on the way back. Last, I sledded directly to the summit of Stampede Pass Lookout, then back for a five hour trip. Everything was in working order and ready for approaches to bigger peaks.
