Mt Washington

Mt Washington (4,400ft)

Hitting snowline in the cold rain

Dec 8, 2020

I was looking to get some exercise close to town, so drove up to exit 38 and started hiking up in the pouring rain. Not surprisingly I was the only person at the trailhead or on the trail. As I got higher the trail became snow covered around 3900ft but the precipitation just stayed miserably-cold rain.

I kept moving to stay warm until I hit the summit a few hours later. I ate a quick snack then jogged back to the car and changed into a dry set of clothes I had wisely brought.
