Rainbow Point

Rainbow Point (9,115 ft) – Highpoint of Bryce Canyon National Park

The view into Bryce Canyon

Eric and Matthew Gilbertson – October 27, 2015

After hiking through Burro Wash slot canyon in Capitol Reef on October 26 we drove south to Bryce Canyon National Park. We got to the entrance after dark and found a good dirt road into the woods to the west where we camped for the night.

In the morning we drove out to Rainbow Point and ate breakfast overlooking the Hoodoos of the park. We didn’t spend too much time, and will have to go back some day to go hiking in the park. After breakfast we drove out to climb the Zion highpoint.
