Yodelin Backcountry Skiing

We drove up to Stevens Pass Saturday morning and continued another mile or so to the Yodelin parking lot. From there we skinned up an old road for about an hour and reached open glades that are popular with backcountry skiers. We skinned up a ridge to tag the summit of Welldiggers A** Mountain (yes, that’s the correct name), then skied down and did a bunch of laps in the glades. By mid afternoon we skied back to the car and just beat the resort skier traffic out.
